STURGIS, SK - A rainy day in Sturgis didn’t hamper the Prairie Dogs Saturday morning. Ryan Robin scored the first ever goal in franchise history at the 10:47 mark of the first quarter. Dillan Cochrane kept it going for PA in the first as the Prairie Dogs piled up 7 goals in the quarter. Tanner Vancoughnett scored the first 2-pointer in franchise history.

Saskatoon started to battle back in the second quarter, holding the Prairie Dogs to 2 goals while also scoring a pair for themselves. The Prairie Dogs went into halftime up by a score of 9-2.

The third quarter was much of the same with Saskatoon slowly clawing back. But goals from Ryan Robin, Brendin Currie, and Brody Holizki kept the Prairie Dogs ahead 12 - 5.

Prince Albert came out a little flat footed in the final quarter and couldn’t get the ball in the back of the net. The Plainsmen brought the score to 12-12 after a couple of 2-point goals. Brody Holizki scored to break the tie, and a pair of goals from Javan Bexson helped lead the Prairie Dogs to victory of the Saskatoon Plainsmen for the first ever win in franchise history.

Goal scorers for Prince Albert were Ryan Robin, Dillan Cochrane, Tanner Vancoughnett, Brendin Currie, Brody Holozki, and Javan Bexson. Annakah Ratt picked up the first win in net for the Prairie Dogs.
