REGINA, SK - PA took on Regina this afternoon in game two of the round robin. The Prairie Dogs got off to an early start with Brody Holizki scoring only 36 seconds into the game. A minute and a half later, Regina tied up the game. That would be all that Regina could muster up in the quarter. Kallen Currie scored with thr long pole and Brennan Boruch added another to make it 3-1 Prairie Dogs after the first.

The second quarter was a tight one with very little scoring. Both goaltenders played well but it was PA’s Kurtis Piefer who scored the lone goal of the frame to make it 4-1 Prairie Dogs at the half.

Prince Albert kept it rolling in the third with goals from Brennan Boruch, Ryan Robin, and Tanner Vancoughnett. Regina added a late tally with under two minutes left in the third. PA headed into the final stanza up 7-2.

The fourth was another quiet one. Matt Robin stopped everything that came his way. Danny Martin scored at the 5:49 mark of the fourth to seal the 8-2 win for the Prairie Dogs.

The Prairie Dogs saw goals from Brody Holizki, Kallen Currie, Kurtis Piefer, Ryan Robin, and Danny Martin. Brennan Boruch added two and Matt Robin picks up the win in net for the Prairie Dogs.

Prince Albert will play in the semi-final at 10:00 am on Sunday.
